Before joining New York-based private equity firm Castle Harlan, Marcel Fournier was managing director of the investment banking group of Lepercq, de Neuflize & Co. Inc. in New York, where he oversaw the origination and implementation of various acquisitions for the firm and its clients.
Before joining Lepercq, de Neuflize, Fournier was assistant director of the United States office of the agency of the French Prime Minister responsible for reviewing and assessing all foreign investments in France.
With Castle Harlan, he has served as a director of US Synthetic Corp., Worldwide Flight Services Inc., Gravograph, and Associated Packaging Enterprises Inc., the latter a Jupiter, Fla.-based thermoformer serving the frozen-food industry. Castle Harlan, founded in 1987, also formed Canadian injection mold maker StackTech Systems Inc. in October 1998 by merging Tradesco Mold Ltd. of Toronto and Fairway Molds Inc. of Los Angeles into what is now one of North America´s largest mold makers.
He was born and raised in France where he received his masters in economics from the Universite de la Sorbonne and a degree in civil engineering from the Ecole Speciale des Travaux Publics. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1979.
