Indestep International Ltd. of Middlesex, England, said its patented rotary injection units are a significant improvement over conventional nonrotary designs, providing a smaller footprint and savings in overall costs for the machine and tooling.
The Indestep molding press is based on an integral hot-runner system. That system allows injection of plastic straight into the mold cavities without the need for sprues.
The result is a measurable savings when compared with conventional machines that rely on multicavity hot-runner molds to make small and midsize parts.
Standard parts of the mold form part of the machine itself.
The Indestep machines are available in clamping forces of 50-100 tons.
