ALCAN INC. - The Montreal firm named Ilene Gordon president of Alcan Packaging Americas. She will oversee Peter Mathias, who was named president of North America Food Flexibles and Specialties. Gordon and Mathias are based in Chicago.
BULK MOLDING COMPOUNDS INC. - Chris Vaisvil was named president of U.S. operations, replacing Larry Nunnery Jr., who has been named chairman and chief executive officer of the West Chicago, Ill., company. The following were named to executive vice president roles: Fran Zappitelli, overseeing global purchasing, research and development and corporate quality; Robert Zurek, overseeing all manufacturing facilities, planning, processes, safety and environmental; Joe Carfora, responsible for business development, planning and international interfacing. BMCI also named Len Nunnery U.S. director of sales and marketing and Jody Riddle U.S. director of quality and research and development.
CENTURY INC. - The compounding extruder maker based in Traverse City, Mich., named Asmut Kahns to its board of directors. Kahns also will serve as a business adviser. Kahns most recently was vice president of sales and marketing for Coperion Corp.'s twin-screw extruder business in North America.
HUNTSMAN CORP. - The Salt Lake City chemicals firm named Tony Hankins president of Huntsman Polyurethanes. Don Stanutz was named president of Huntsman Performance Products, the position formerly held by Hankins.
