The Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. and the Commerce Department are planning a trade mission to China in late June.
The mission, from June 21 to July 1, will include visits to plastic processing operations in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai, and will include customized market and industry briefings and meetings with government officials and industry associations.
Washington-based SPI said the tour will also include admission to the ChinaPlas 2004 show, held June 29 to July 2 in Shanghai, and participants can be paired with pre-selected Asian companies during the visit.
The cost is $6,500 per person for SPI members and $9,500 for nonmembers, and includes hotel, receptions, interpreters and mission-related travel in Hong Kong and China. Registration deadline is June 4. Contact Risikat Okedeyi at SPI, at (202) 974-5333
