Mold-Masters settles dispute with Mastip
GEORGETOWN, ONTARIO - Mold-Masters Ltd. and Mastip Technology Ltd., an Auckland, New Zealand-based hot-runner rival, have settled a dispute over a Mold-Masters patented, two-piece injection molding nozzle seal - without resorting to court action.
Under an agreement announced March 5, Mastip will pay Mold-Masters a lump-sum royalty fee to get a worldwide, nonexclusive, nontransferable license under the U.S. patent and its foreign counterparts.
Unrelated to the nozzle-seal settlement, Georgetown-based Mold-Masters granted Mastip a nonexclusive, nontransferable worldwide license on a U.S. patent covering a modular manifold.
