Conair Group's booth sports a big ``Factory Outlet'' sign as Conair sells nearly new auxiliary equipment at the show, at prices 25-40 percent lower than list. Much of the equipment had seen limited duty at Conair's research and development laboratory at company headquarters in Pittsburgh or other locations, some was from factory overstock and some was from canceled orders. In many cases, Conair offers high-performance option packages and warranty coverage of at least 90 days on the equipment. In some cases, the full factory warranty, up to three years on parts and labor, is included. Ben Martin, Conair's marketing director, said the company likes to keep its lab equipment moving, so it always demonstrates the newest machinery. ``It used to be that processors came to trade shows looking for leading-edge technology,'' Martin said. ``Some still do. But we believe that the vast majority of show-goers today are looking for value.'' Among the equipment available was an SC60 carousel dehumidifying dryer, a thermolator TW2 temperature contoller, a Sentral Loader control, a puller and a press-side granulator.
