For extrusion, Cumberland Engineering has introduced two new gear pumps: the MSDP standard-pressure pump and the MHDP high-pressure model.
The standard-pressure gear pump is designed for pressures up to 5,000 pounds per square inch and 345 bar. The high-pressure gear pump can handle pressures up to 10,000 psi and 689 bar.
By reducing the load on the extruder, both models enhance extruder life, boost output and reduce scrap.
Features include fast start-up, higher output and reduced scrap.
Cumberland is based in South Attleboro, Mass.
