Pittsburgh-based Conair Group has introduced its Axess line of three-axis, servo-driven robots.
The line costs about 25 percent less than other servo robots in its size range, according to the company.
Features include simultaneous motion on all three axes, multiple vacuum and pressure circuits to allow degating, selective part placement and wrist rotation to 180 degrees, with a programmable intermediate stop at 90 degrees.
Maximum speeds of 6.5 feet per second are achieved over a horizontal stroke length of 40-100 inches. Vertical stroke is 40 inches. The standard strip stroke is 13.7 inches.
The payload capacity is 6.6 pounds.
The icon-driven Axess control panel supports direct programming — the step-by-step creation of a robot cycle from scratch.
