Kenco Plastics Co. plans to move into a 20,000-square-foot facility in Lewisburg to make fiberglass products.
Lewisburg received a state grant of $26,000, according to a state spokesperson, to install an extension of the water and sewer lines to the building for Kenco. The Lewisburg Industrial Development Board is also working to gain a tax break for the company.
The building is next door to Kenco's parent, Dole Refrigerating Co., which is headquartered in Lewisburg.
Kenco currently operates a plant in Necedah, Wis. A news report in the Nashville Tennessean said Kenco plans to close the Necedah plant. Calls to confirm the move with management were not returned.
Kenco makes molded and modular reinforced fiberglass utility sheds, as well as flumes.
