Machinery veteran Bruce Kozak has returned to the plastics industry, as he was named vice president of sales and marketing for Spirex Corp.
Kozak is responsible for global product sales and marketing functions at the Youngstown-based screw and barrel maker. His first day at Spirex was Aug. 2.
Before joining Spirex, Kozak spent two years in financial services at Morgan Stanley's Individual Investor Group in Pittsburgh.
Before his stint in investor services, Kozak was president and chief executive officer of polyurethane processing equipment maker Cannon USA of Cranberry Township, Pa. He had joined Cannon in 2000 after a 23-year career at Milacron Inc.
Kozak's last position at Milacron was vice president of global marketing. His earlier positions at the Cincinnati plastics machinery manufacturer included vice president and general manager of the injection machinery business, and general manager of Ferromatik Milacron USA.
Mark Colella, who had filled the role of vice president of sales and technology, now will focus on new products and technical developments as the vice president of technology, said Spirex President Paul Colby.
