At K 2004, Gneuss Inc. will introduce the SFXmagnus rotary melt filtration system.
SFXmagnus is based on the automatic model of the RSFgenius. It offers a new drive technology and a larger screen capacity up to 1,400 square inches, but it does not do integrated screen cleaning, allowing for a lower cost. Features include constant pressure, the ability to include pressures of up to 12,000 pounds per square inch, filtration down to 3 microns and melt temperatures up to 660°F.
Gneuss of Matthews, N.C., also will introduce its Premium pressure sensor, with a new diaphragm technology. The design means it is no longer possible to break off the flexible capillary. The sensor can be removed even when the equipment is cold.
Gneuss also will show an extended range of features on its RSFgenuis, including the ability to handle highly corrosive materials, increased active screen area up to 465 square inches and finer micron ratings down to 1 or 2 microns.
