Guill Tool & Engineering Co. Inc. said its DualFlo tooling system increases tubing extrusion output by 40-50 percent vs. single-head systems.
DualFlo employs two identical heads joined by a specially designed metering valve to give an extruder dual output. The die can add multilayer or multistripe extrusion capability.
Guill Tool of West Warwick, R.I., designed the tool for tubing makers. Features include a fixed center or patent-pending FeatherTouch adjustment in the die holder. FeatherTouch is a cartridge-style ball assembly that does not need the retaining screws loosened for adjustments. The system seals to eliminate leaks between deflectors, and allows for easy self-alignment, the firm said. Dual Flo uses oil or water for integrated cooling.
