Automated Assemblies Corp. has launched a version of its Raptor robot for large-tonnage injection molding machines: Raptor 4000.
The robot is designed for the automotive, electronic/medical, appliance and housewares molding. It works with presses in clamping forces from 700-1,500 tons. They bring the benefits of low deflection and rigid construction to molders that want a low-profile, beside-the-press telescoping vertical-arm robot.
Raptor 4000 robots can carry parts that weigh up to 50 pounds.
All Raptor robots include a large control screen that combines the controls of the robot, the visual inspection system and the entire work cell into one operator interface.
Automated Assemblies is based in Clinton, Mass.
