Engineered polymer tubing extruder Zeus Inc. has completed the first phase of an expansion at its Orangeburg headquarters plant.
Zeus added an undisclosed amount of capacity to meet growing demand for fluoropolymer and nylon tubing, according to Alan Andrews, senior vice president of global sales and marketing. Zeus officially launched its nylon tubing product line in June.
The firm has more than 800 employees at eight production facilities and runs its own tool shop.
In addition to nylon, Zeus has branched into polyetheretherketone tubing, which it touts as a replacement for metal. Its key markets are medical, fluid-handling, electrical and mechanical.
Zeus also specializes in heat-shrinkable products. The private company did not disclose sales.
