Switzerland's Sarna Polymer Holding Inc. is putting its Sarnamotive auto supply group up for sale.
Sarna executives announced Dec. 14 they decided to sell Sarnamotive, which includes injection molding operations in Europe and U.S.-based Sarnamotive Blue Water Inc. in Marysville, Mich. Sarna will focus on its Sarnafil building products division.
``The evaluation of the scenarios has shown that we can better serve all our stakeholders as customers, employees and shareholders concentrating our resources on the further expansion of the successful Sarnafil,'' Chairman Fritz Studer said in a news release.
Sarnen-based Sarna announced in November it was considering whether to seek a partner for the auto group or sell it. The divestment makes more sense, said Matti Paasila, chief executive officer.
``There are already interested parties, and we will start the selling process within a short time,'' he said.
Sarnamotive molds a variety of interior and exterior components. Sarnafil specializes in high-performance polymer waterproofing materials for the construction industry.
