Brian Jones joined Nypro Inc. in 1987 to manage the quality function and advanced through a series of executive positions until he was elected president of Nypro North America in 1999 and then president of Nypro Inc. in January 2002. He added CEO duties in September 2003.
Among the innovations he introduced to the Clinton, Mass.-based company are the annual Nypro World Management Forum and the firm´s distance learning facility, Nypro Online, which offers plastics training to Nypro employees globally and the general public.
Jones holds bachelor of science degrees in education and engineering, plus an MBA from Nichols College in Dudley, Mass. He is a member of the board of directors of both Nypro and of the National Association of Manufacturers in Washington, D.C. He also is a past president of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, and serves on the board of trustees at Nichols College.
Nypro, a leading global precision injection molding and contract manufacturing company, currently generates over $900 million in annual sales and has more than 13,000 employees at 66 facilities in 18 countries. In this, its 50th anniversary year, the company is in the midst of a major expansion. It is adding new technology and capabilities, including a recently announced global network of product development centers; a metal-to-plastics convergence factory in China; new plastics contract manufacturing plants in China, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Brazil; and new robotic painting capacity in Atlanta.
