Jim Hill is the managing partner of the Cleveland-based law firm Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff (www.bfca.com) and a member of both its Polymer Law Group and Private Equity Group. He also chairs the firm´s executive committee.
Hill´s law practice focuses on publicly and privately held, mid-market growth companies. He also represents lenders, mezzanine finance providers and equity participants and handles mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings and private offerings of debt and venture capital. He has extensive experience representing businesses that are seeking funding for either internal growth or growth through acquisition. Hill also routinely handles domestic and cross-border strategic alliances and joint ventures, and is active in the selling and buying of plastics and specialty chemical companies.
Hill received his bachelor of arts degree with highest honors from the University of Iowa in 1975. He earned his law degree from The Yale Law School three years later, and also attended the London School of Economics in England.
