As a managing director in Houlihan Lokey's Los Angeles office, Jeff McKenzie directs the firm's merger and acquisition activities on the West Coast. He is a member of the board of directors of Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin Capital, and is the national leader of the firm's plastics and packaging group.
During his 10 years at the firm, McKenzie has successfully completed numerous M&A transactions in packaging, health care and a variety of manufacturing and service industries. His list of completed plastics and packaging industry transactions include Alloyd Co. Inc., Applied Technology Products, Future Media, Reid Plastics, Berkley Industries, Kipp Group, and Accurate Container. He also was involved in the purchase of Propak, Crystal Clear, Stewart-Walker, Plastic Containers Inc. and Suiza Packaging.
While McKenzie specializes in sell-side M&A transactions, he has significant experience in evaluating, structuring and negotiating buy-side deals and employee stock ownership plan transactions and in successfully arranging debt, mezzanine and equity financing.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey (www.hlhz.com), he held various positions in marketing and finance for Allergan, Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of over-the-counter and ethical eye-care products.
McKenzie earned a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
