Dwight Morgan in 1998 joined with two partners to start color concentrates supplier Accel Corp. in Naperville, Ill.
Prior to that, he worked for 16 years at M.A. Hanna Co. (now part of PolyOne Corp.), as that company transformed itself from a metals and mining company into a leader in polymer processing and distribution. He spent 11 years in Hanna's corporate office, where he oversaw corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, investor relations and corporate communications. He also spearheaded a series of acquisitions that strengthened Hanna's positions in the North American resin distribution, color and compounding sectors, as well as in the European masterbatch industry.
Morgan moved into operations for Hanna in 1993, where he ran five of Hanna's specialty colorant facilities. He and two partners then left Hanna to form Accel (www.accelcolor.com). The firm has since grown from one facility in Naperville into a national supplier, with additional sites in Avon, Ohio, Knoxville, Tenn., and Ontario, Calif.
Morgan is a graduate of the Kent State University School of Journalism and the University of Akron, Ohio, School of Law.
