David Solomon manages the New York office for Goldsmith Agio Helms, a national investment banking boutique focused on the middle market. The firm's services include mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, distressed advisory and restructuring, and valuations. The 95-person firm is based in Minneapolis, with offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and London, England.
Solomon is co-leader of the firm's plastics group with particular experience in consumer packaging, automotive and other plastics end markets. He also heads the firm's retail group. He has extensive experience in structuring private placements of senior and subordinated debt and equity, as well as in the consumer and industrial manufacturing categories.
Prior to joining GAH (www.agio.com) in 1991, Solomon was an officer with Northstar Industries, a national M&A boutique specializing in corporate finance with a variety of Fortune 500 companies. He earned both a bachelor of arts and a master's degree from Yale University, graduating magna cum laude. He received his MBA with a concentration in finance from the Carlson School at the University of Minnesota, graduating with honors.
