The University of Maine's Advanced Engineering Wood Composites Center in Orono is expanding after receiving a $250,000 state grant.
The grant was combined with matching funds and equipment for a total investment of $750,000.
The facility was expanded once in July. The current expansion, for office space, is to be completed this month. The center, which employs 100, has grown from 33,000 square feet to 48,000 square feet.
