John Bonham joined Thermotech in 1997 as its senior executive. At that time, Thermotech was a division of Neenah, Wis.-based Menasha Corp. Bonham was part of the management team that, together with Boston private equity firm Audax Group, acquired the unit from Menasha in December 2003.
In the past seven years, Bonham has overseen Thermotech's development of proprietary technology offerings in areas such as direct gear design, micromolding and hermetic sealing, and posted labor productivity improvements averaging 5 percent per year. Thermotech (www.thermotech.com) is a $75 million precision injection molder and contract manufacturer headquartered in Hopkins, Minn., with two additional plants in Mexico. The 700-employee company, which runs about 145 injection presses, provides products for automotive, electronic, medical and industrial applications.
Prior to this, Bonham led the turnaround and subsequent divestiture of Menasha's Molded Products Division, a thermoset molding and painting company. He also has 13 years of paper industry experience, including three years running an integrated pulp and paper mill, and four years as an army officer. Bonham has a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in manufacturing management.
