The May 24 Management Day conference at Plastics Encounter Midwest will aim to help managers of processing companies improve their businesses.
Mid-America Plastics Partners Inc., a trade association of plastics processors, is organizing the business conference. The Plastics Encounter Midwest trade show, organized by Plastics News, will be May 24-26 in Indianapolis.
Management Day will feature three concurrent tracks and cover topics including industry benchmarking, efficient factory design, tips for tooling design, effectively applying automation, managing continuous improvement and machine operator certification.
Troy Nix, MAPP executive director, said one track also will delve into best practices in plant maintenance, including management of oil, lubrication, water and air, as well as the principles of the systems evaluation process known as reliability-centered maintenance.
