Broadway Industries has consolidated its headquarters and operations into a newly leased site in Edison.
The family-owned firm has moved to a 32,000-square-foot site in Edison, replacing three smaller New York buildings.
Broadway, started in 1945 by Murray Kohn in Queens, owned one of those three facilities and leased the others. The new site gives the company one central office and warehouse, officials said.
The move will allow the company to serve new markets, add new products and expand twofold, said Steve Kohn, executive vice president of sales and marketing, in a recent telephone interview.
He would not disclose what type of production equipment the firm is adding or how many people it employs.
The company's products include Carry-Pro, a polyethylene storage bag with integrated handles, and Heavy Grade Tarps, made from laminated woven polyethylene.
