Correct Building Products LLC of Biddeford, Maine, has introduced CorrectDeck CX with SafeGuard, an anti-microbial composite decking.
The company applies SafeGuard through a coextrusion process, officials said. The boards are made from polypropylene.
``We developed CorrectDeck CX with SafeGuard in response to homeowner concerns that composite decking needed to be improved in several areas, especially mold and mildew resistance,'' Correct President Marty Grohman said in a news release.
The firm introduced the boards during the Pacific Coast Builders Conference, held May 31 to June 3 in San Francisco.
