FKI Logistex opens Southeastern office
ST. LOUIS - St. Louis-based FKI Logistex, which makes material-handling systems, has opened a regional office in Atlanta for customers in the Southeast.
Employees from FKI's manufacturing systems unit offices in Alpharetta and Marietta, Ga., and its warehouse and distribution unit office in Norcross, Ga., will relocate to the new site, which opened June 11.
Koch Chemical buys Industrie Meccaniche
HOUSTON - Koch Chemical Technology Group LLC, affiliated with Brown Fintube Co., has purchased an Italian maker of high-pressure heat exchangers for the petrochemical and other industries, Industrie Meccaniche di Bagnolo SpA.
Houston-based Brown Fintube and IMB, of Bagnolo Cremasco, Italy, will operate as the Koch Heat Transfer Group and market products both companies develop.
Terms were not disclosed.
FAVERGES, FRANCE - Robot maker StÃ¤ubli Faverges SCA has transferred production of Scara robots to its Faverges headquarters.
StÃ¤ubli has produced the Scara robots in France since March 1. It bought the line from Germany's Bosch Rexroth AG. The robots move parts quickly as part of a larger automation line. Scara stands for selective compliance assembly robot arm.
StÃ¤ubli said the new Scara SR robots complement its RX and TX of six-axis articulating robots. The company also builds customized automation systems.
The robotics division of U.S.-based unit StÃ¤ubli Corp. is in Duncan, S.C.
Mattec names Paxon distributor in Asia
LOVELAND, OHIO - Process monitoring systems supplier Mattec Corp. of Loveland has named Paxon Automation in Shanghai its exclusive distributor in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
``Paxon Automation has set up an entire division that is committed to providing sales and support services for our products,'' Mattec President Mick Thiel said.
Paxon will sell Mattec's real-time production and process monitoring systems, including ProHelp EPM, which can monitor as many as 4,096 machines and support hundreds of simultaneous users. Paxon will stock parts and provide engineering, service, installation and training.
The firm also manufactures Paxon-brand robots, and in China represents dryers from East Windsor, Conn.-based Dri-Air Industries Inc.
