Assets for wood-plastic composites manufacturer Nexwood Industries Ltd. will be auctioned off Aug. 10 at the company's Brampton headquarters plant.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. of Toronto was appointed receiver and manager for Nexwood on March 15 and has been trying to sell the assets as a going concern. A PricewaterhouseCoopers representative said the receiver was unable to negotiate a satisfactory deal.
Danbury Sales Inc. of Toronto will hold the auction. Assets include six Deltaplast 4½-inch extruders, other extruders, nine vacuum cooling chambers, 10 cut-off saws, granulators and wire-brush finishing machines.
Nexwood had produced wood-plastic boards since 1996.
