HPG to add workers, reflecting its growth
MOUNTAIN TOP, PA.-HPG International Inc. plans to add staff to accommodate market growth for its roofing and swimming pool liners, said President John Dellevigne.
The vinyl film maker has been hiring and plans to hire 10-12 more in the next year, he said in an Aug. 18 telephone interview.
Montreal's Transco increasing capacity
MONTREAL - Transco Plastic Industries of Montreal is about to increase its extrusion and printing capacity by ordering a three-layer blown film coextruder and an eight-color flexographic press.
President Steve Lash said the machines will cost about $4 million and should be installed in the next six months.
Transco may add to its staff of 150 to accommodate the additional capacity.
Mexican sheet firm investing in upgrade
GUADALAJARA, MEXICO - Sheet maker Laminados Extruidos Pl sticos SA de CV of Guadalajara plans to invest $500,000 to upgrade its equipment next year.
``This is actually a lean manufacturing situation, where we are using the same, if not less, people to do more output,'' said spokesman Jesus Avelar.
