Amcor Flexibles again has chosen Kiefel Extrusion GmbH of Worms, Germany, to supply blown film extrusion equipment, placing two new orders with the company this year.
Don Flanagan, general manager of Amcor's plant in Acacia Ridge, Australia, expects the new machines to be delivered in January or February. He said the company ordered the new lines to replace some old equipment and to increase production of polyethylene products.
One machine will go to the Brisbane-based company's western Australian plant in Kewdale and the other to Acacia Ridge.
Kiefel already has supplied three Kirion three-layer coextrusion blown film lines for Amcor Flexibles - one in 2002 and two in 2003.
Amcor Flexibles is a division of Melbourne, Australia-based Amcor Australasia Ltd.
