Martin Verville, head of human resources at Solo Cup Co.'s factory in Dallas, manned a booth with a simple message: Solo is hiring.
Verville manned the booth alone. The Milwaukee event marked the first time Solo has had a booth at the thermoforming conference, he said.
``I've gotten some pretty good response,'' Verville said.
The disposable-packaging maker has 100 positions available at 10 of its factories, including openings for operators for sheet and foam thermoforming lines, industrial electricians, mechanics and process and tooling engineers.
Solo is moving some equipment to Dallas from other sites, as a result of its 2004 purchase of Sweetheart Cup Co. Inc.
