Cantex Inc. will manufacture and distribute fusible PVC conduit using Underground Solutions Inc. technology, under a license agreement the companies signed in late September.
Mark Smith, chief executive officer of Sarver, Pa.-based UGSI, said the technology allows for mile-long underground piping with fused joints as strong as the pipe itself.
Cantex, headquartered in Mineral Wells, is a division of Tokyo-based Sumitomo Corp.
Cantex has eight manufacturing facilities and more than 30 warehouses throughout the United States.
