German extruder OKE Automotive GmbH is moving into North America with a plan to open a 17,000-square-foot plant in Saltillo, Mexico.
The company makes seating parts such as frame profile connectors, clips and edge trims, using polypropylene, polyethylene, foams and other materials.
OKE, based in HÃ¶rstel, Germany, said in a Nov. 25 news release that it expects to employ as many as 50 within two years.
Offshore Group of Tucson, Ariz., will provide the site, staffing, customs, human resources and other logistics operations.
The plant will join OKE production in Germany, Portugal, Slovakia, South Africa and China.
