Tim Dumond is a Detroit-based director in the Restructuring & Performance Improvement Group at Stout Risius Ross, a 150-employee financial advisory firm with offices in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit and Washington. He has more than 18 years of senior management experience providing engineering, sales and manufacturing expertise to production facilities of automotive suppliers and their OEM customers.
Dumond has worked in a number of plastic and metal manufacturing processes, and has extensive experience in developing corporate manufacturing and plant rationalization strategies, as well as in supply chain management, purchasing, materials management and human resource management.
Prior to joining SRR, Dumond was the strategic business unit director of interior and exterior products at automotive plastics molder NYX Inc., and general manager of NYX's Atrex Inc. division. Some of his other previous positions include serving as VP of operations for molder May & Scofield, and as a product and assembly engineer at Ford Motor Co. He has also owned and operated his own residential building company and worked for a number of years as a structural design engineer on numerous commercial and industrial building projects.
Dumond earned an MBA in finance from Wayne State University in Detroit, and a master´s degree in structural engineering and a bachelor´s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University.
