Fast-growing IQMS of Paso Robles, Calif., is introducing a medical software module and investing about $3.5 million for a new headquarters.
The company is launching the module for its EnterpriseIQ resource planning software during the Medical Design & Manufacturing West trade show Jan. 31-Feb. 2 in Anaheim, Calif.
The module's tools and capabilities are embedded within EnterpriseIQ. Users will see improved management of quality issues and internal collaboration, and will be able to deal with issues such as end-user and patient safety and product quality. The module focuses on key problem areas inherent with medical manufacturing.
IQMS said the module can decrease reaction time, eliminate duplicate entries, reduce errors and lead to cost, time and communication improvements.
In its relocation, IQMS will move into 30,000 square feet in Paso Robles in February from a nearby leased space of 9,000 square feet. The company has an option on another 20,000 square feet.
IQMS employs more than 65 in the United States and may hire another dozen workers during 2006. Glenn Nowak was named IQMS vice president of sales in December.
In September, IQMS and exclusive European distribution partner Plasticsgrid AB of Stockholm, Sweden, linked as IQMS Europe. In early 2005, IQMS formed IQMS Asia, which has opened offices in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and Shanghai, China.
Founded in 1988, IQMS said 2005 sales were 25 percent higher than those in the previous year.
