West Salem Machinery, based in Salem, Ore., said its Model 764 Bale Breaker separates baled high density polyethylene and PET plastics — at a rate of up to 10,000 pounds an hour.
After separation, the materials are cleaned, sorted and proc-essed.
The Bale Breaker includes a large receiving deck for multiple bales, an in-feed conveyor with a variable-speed disc, four heavy-duty rotors and a lump breaker.
Optional items include a disc screener to help separate caps, dirt and other small contaminants, and sorting and conveying belts for materials handling.
