The organizers of Plastimagen, Mexico's national plastics exhibition, called the recent four-day event ``the most successful show in its history.''
The 14th iteration of the show, held March 28-31 in Mexico City, attracted 29,302 attendees, mostly from Mexico and Central America, according to Elena Maribona, director of Oprex, the company that has organized the expo since its 1985 inception.
That total was up 10.3 percent over the 26,571 visitors Oprex reported for Plastimagen 2004, and barely exceeded the previous high of 29,084 visitors in 2002.
More than 700 exhibiting companies from 22 countries attended. The next Plastimagen is set for April 8-11, 2008.
