Petroquímica Cuyo SAIC of Buenos Aires is expected to conclude a $12 million expansion program at its polypropylene plant by the end of this year, company officials said at Argenplas 2006. The investment will increase Cuyo's production capacity from 220 million pounds to 287 million pounds per year.
Cuyo's plant is in Lujan de Cuyo, Argentina. The unit operates using Novolen technology, a gaseous-phase polymerization process licensed from Novolen Technology Holding, an ABB Lummus Global subsidiary.
