John Moennich, 52
LORAIN, OHIO - John Moennich, 52, an independent manufacturers' sales representative, died unexpectedly April 7. His agency, Minplast Inc., is based in Lorain.
During his career, Moennich represented many companies, including Maguire Products Inc. of Aston, Pa., and Xaloy Inc. of New Castle, Pa. He was an active member of Mid-America Plastics Partners Inc.
Moennich is survived by his wife, Diane.
Eugene Bezgela, 82
RALEIGH, N.C. - Eugene Bezgela, 82, a longtime member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, died April 10.
A 1944 graduate of St. Peter's College in Jersey City, N.J., Bezgela began his plastics engineering career with Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Newark, N.J. In 1954 he moved to the firm's then-new plant in Raleigh, from which he retired in 1986.
He was charter member of the local chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers.
Bezgela is survived by his wife, Lillian.
Josef Holthoff, 67
FARMINGTON, CONN. - Josef Holthoff, 67, died April 8 from complications of Alzheimer's disease.
Trained as an engineer in Germany, Holthoff came to the United States in 1963. He purchased Polymer Machinery Inc. of Berlin, Conn., the original importer of Arburg injection molding machines, and retired in 2000.
Holthoff, a longtime resident of Farmington, is survived by his wife, Lilly.
