Theysohn relocates from Texas to Indiana
FRANKLIN, IND. - Theysohn Vinyl Extrusion Technologies Inc., the U.S. division of Austrian extruder maker Theysohn Extrusionstechnik GmbH, has moved from Fort Worth, Texas, to Franklin.
The Korneuburg, Austria, parent makes twin-screw extruders for PVC pipe, fencing and siding.
Theysohn Vinyl Extrusion President Ronald Booth said the new 35,000-square-foot facility will expand the U.S. operation's warehouse space for replacement screws and barrels, as well as for testing and assembling extruders. Theysohn Vinyl Extrusion also provides technical and field service personnel to North and South America from Indiana.
The Indiana location also offers screws and barrels for non-Theysohn equipment, plus downstream equipment and tooling for pipe, profiles and siding. The company also provides sheet lines to make cellular PVC. Theysohn makes conical and parallel extruders.
Theysohn Extrusionstechnik has created a business group with two sister companies, extrusion die maker Topf Kunststofftechnik GmbH of Kirchdorf, Austria, and Theysohn Extruder-Komponenten Salzgitter GmbH, which builds screws and barrels in Salzgitter, Germany.
Before joining Theysohn, Booth worked for Krauss-Maffei Corp.'s extruder business and at Meadville, Pa.-based vinyl window downstream equipment maker Uniplast International Inc., now called Greiner Extrusion U.S. Inc.
