Colortronic North America Inc. (Booth N5026) of Flint, Mich., has broadened its upstream product line of blenders and dryers within the past 18 months, said Keith Larson, manager of sales and marketing.
The products focus on specialized processes, particularly for powders and additives.
The high-end GraviPlus system targets the extrusion market.
The GraviPlus continuous loss-in-weight dosing and blending system can meter color and additives down to the lowest tolerance level without affecting the end product quality. Previously, the GraviPlus line was known as GraviBlend.
Modular design and feeding components provide flexibility for changes in process requirements. The GraviPlus is designed for hourly throughputs of 0.55-16,500 pounds and can accommodate one to eight precision-screw feeders per line.
Separately, Colortronic introduced the C-Flex M flexible wall feeder for dosing powders, pellets, granulates, regrinds, fibers and flakes in either continuous or batch process.
Massage rolls provide feeding ease and avoid abrasion to the hopper. A compact design allows for arranging several feeders for multiple-feeder configurations. The C-Flex M can be integrated into a gravimetric or volumetric system.
In addition, Colortronic is introducing state-of-the-art controls for current blenders among other new products. These include an Allen-Bradley control system for a loss-in-weight blending system, a full function gravimetric GH extrusion control system, a GH-F gravimetric feeder system for feeding color and other additives and a GH-I inventory management system.
Colortronic is a business of the ACS Group of Wood Dale, Ill.
