Film stretching machinery major Bruckner Maschinenbau GmbH has sold a large film stretching line to Cosmo Films Ltd. Of New Delhi, India.
Bruckner Chief Operating Officer Ludwig Eckart confirmed the order but did not reveal the purchase price. Bruckner finalized the deal for the 23.6-foot-wide line in mid-May. In an NPE interview in Chicago, he estimated machine delivery would take 10 months, with production to start about six months later.
Eckart said Cosmo makes specialty, multilayer biaxially oriented polypropylene films.
Bruckner sold a larger film stretching line - a 26.9-foot version - in India last year and is negotiating further sales of BOPP and oriented PET lines in the Asian country.
