DuPont Co. of Wilmington is seeking a buyer for its liquid box business, Liqui-Box Corp., according to the Daily Deal, a news weekly in New York.
J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. is advising DuPont, the report said. Liqui-Box of Worthington, Ohio, has six U.S. blow molding plants, according to Plastics News' survey of North American blow molders.
``We do not comment on rumors or speculation,'' a DuPont spokesman said in a July 20 voicemail.
DuPont purchased the unit for $333 million in cash in 2002.
Liqui-Box supplies dispensing systems for liquids and other products to dairy, processed-food, wine, beverage, water and pharmaceutical industries. It makes rigid blow molded containers, bag-in-box containers, pouch containers and customized filling systems.
