Americhem enters China's fiber market
Americhem Inc. of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, is offering its color and additives products to the synthetic fibers market in China for the first time.
Americhem's solution-dyed products for synthetic fibers are added to polymer melt before it is extruded into individual fibers, officials said. As a result, the color becomes an integral part of the fiber and is colored throughout. The colorants also offer colors that resist fading from ultraviolet- light radiation, abrasion, harsh chemicals and bleach.
Americhem opened its first Chinese plant in Suzhou earlier this year.
