CHICAGO (Aug. 1, 4:55 p.m. EDT) — Film-stretching machinery major Bruckner Maschinenbau GmbH has sold a large film-stretching line to Cosmo Films Ltd. Of New Delhi, India.
Bruckner Chief Operating Officer Ludwig Eckart confirmed the order but he did not reveal the agreed-on purchase price. Bruckner finalized the deal for the 23.6-foot-wide line in mid-May. In an NPE interview in Chicago, he estimated it would take 10 months to deliver the machine with startup about a half year after that.
Eckart said Cosmo makes specialty, multilayer biaxially oriented polypropylene films
Bruckner sold a larger film stretching line — an 26.9-foot version — in India last year and is negotiating further sales of BOPP and oriented PET lines in the Asian country.
