Granutec Inc.'s auger granulator/separator, called the Auger-Matic, fits under an injection press or thermoforming machine. The company claims the combination is “quicker than a picker.”
A standard central lubrication setup allows maintenance while the unit is running. Feeding options include feed-roll systems and special feed hoppers for reclaiming rejected parts.
The Auger-Matic has a tangential feed cutting chamber and an auger entry engineered for continuous granulation without jamming. An optional package includes knives for running abrasive and glass-filled materials.
Granutec of East Douglas, Mass., also introduced its TFG2530, with a throat size of 25 inches by 30 inches and horsepower ranging from 50-100. The machine recycles bulky, blow molded parts like bottles, jugs and milk cases.
