StackTeck Systems Inc. has sold its California mold-making operation to focus on core operations in Canada.
The company sold the Walnut, Calif., site to a private firm for an undisclosed amount. The facility has retained the name Fairway Molds Inc., which was its operating name prior to its acquisition by StackTeck in 1998.
StackTeck, based in Brampton, will focus on traditional markets, said Randy Yakimishyn, president and chief executive officer, in an Oct. 3 news release.
``Following this sale, StackTeck will have increased resources to invest in new initiatives that will ensure our continued growth,'' he said.
StackTeck specializes in injection mold tooling for caps, closures, medical and thin-wall packaging along with in-mold labeling systems and mold bases.
