Your Viewpoint about the upcoming Nov. 14-15 Plastics News China Forum states that you are promoting skills, not job loss [PN Viewpoint, Oct. 16, Page 8].
What exactly is the China forum going to do to promote skills to keep jobs here in America?
I have never read a trade magazine that promotes the erosion of the trade it covers. You must hate American plastics companies, or America itself. Every Plastics News issue that I pick up has promotions for China. The issue where you ran that editorial also has a cartoon that pokes fun at the situation.
I am a small injection molder, and I try to practice what I can do to keep jobs here. I want to know, how can I sharpen my pencil to be competitive and keep work here?
I source molds from toolmakers here in America — small shops like my own that can sharpen their pencils down to the point that we can do molding work here.
Why do you not promote how to keep the industry here and how to beat China, instead of the easy way out?
