Ray Burns is president of Mack Molding Co.'s Southern Division, which includes injection molding facilities in Inman, S.C., and Statesville, N.C. The privately held Mack Group has sales that exceed $275 million and employs more than 1,850 people. A 25-year veteran of the company, Burns joined Mack as an account manager at its Arlington, Vt., headquarters. His career has grown along with the company, including stints as vice president of sales; VP and general manager, Southern Division; and now president, Southern Division, a position he has held for nine years. Prior to joining Mack, Burns worked for Nypro Inc. for seven years in both finance and sales.
Active in the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. for many years, Burns has served three-year terms on both the New England board of directors and the executive committee of SPI's Structural Plastics Division, now known as the Association of Plastics Processors. He recently was elected director-at-large of SPI's Southern Region.
A graduate of Babson College in Wellesley, Mass., Burns holds a bachelor's degree in finance. He resides in Greenville, S.C.
