Aardvark Polymers has debuted thermoplastic alloys formulated for rotational molding.
The Lambertville, N.J., firm said the base materials typically are engineering grades of acetals, nylons and polyesters compounded with other polymers. The range of properties of the Aardalloy product line include high impact and other strength ratios, reduced friction and wear, high continuous service temperature, better ductility, chemical resistance and creep resistance, the firm said.
Aardvark claims the new materials will allow rotomolders to partake in markets formerly out of bounds because of limitations of available materials. The Aardalloys are customized per target application.
