Andreas Sannert, 40, general manager of Extrusion Dies Industries LLC's German subsidiary, died Feb. 3 at his home when a tractor he was driving overturned.
EDI, in Chippewa Falls, Wis., supplies flat dies for sheet, film coating, slot die coating and palletizing. Its German unit, EDI GmbH, is in Reichshof-Wehnrath.
Sannert started in the toolmaking industry in 1983 and in 1992 joined Extrusion Dies Service, a company that represented EDI. When EDI established EDI GmbH in 2003, Sannert was named general manager.
``For all of us at EDI, his untimely death means the loss of a skilled manger, gifted colleague and valued friend,'' said Timothy Callahan, EDI LLC chief executive officer and president, in a news release.
Sannert is survived by his wife, Christine, and three children.
